Welcome to the website of The Thomas J. Long Foundation. Our
Foundation has a proud tradition of supporting charitable organizations
in the East Bay Area and Hawaiian Islands since 1972.

The Foundation operates on a responsive grant making basis and awards
grants in five selected fields of interest.  Grant proposals are considered
semi-annually in the spring and fall using a competitive application
process.  The window to submit a proposal for our spring 2008 grant
cycle has closed.  Organizations that submitted a proposal prior to
February 1, 2008 will be informed of the Foundation's decision on or after
June 15th.

Our application process is described in full detail under the "
Application
Process" tab.  Any questions that cannot be answered by the information
presented in this website may be directed to the Foundation
office.

The next  2008 grant cycle will open on May 15th.  Additional information
regarding the fall grant cycle will
be posted at a later time.  Please do not
send a request for application prior to May 15th as it will not be retained.
